An Electric Heating Pad Can Work Wonders |
|
|
I always try to avoid taking prescription medications or over the
counter medications. I can remember being this way since I was young.
My grandmother used to have many different herbal teas for all types of
ailments and homemade ointments and salves for skin problems. One of
her most effective solutions to most aches and pains was to apply a hot
water bottle. I wish she had written down her herb blends so that I can
use them for my families’ aches and pains.
My grandma took all of her remedies to her grave when she died about eighth years ago. I can still remember some of her herbs for teas and I have done research to develop some of my own. I try to follow as much of her advice as I can remember. I discovered that heat and ice can alleviate aches and pains. I don’t think that a hot water bottle offer consistent warmth so I used an electric heating pad instead.
My grandmother’s youngest sister also passed away a few years ago. She had also used many home remedies. A cousin of mine mentioned that grandmother’s sister had written many things down in an old book. Fortunately, we were able to find the old book with her belongings.
I discovered that the book had been started by my great grandmother. My grandmother and her sister also made some contributions to the book. Grandma’s sister lived long enough to advise the use of an electric heating pad for more consistent warmth over the hot water bottle.
I became quite good at treating aches and pains, that I decided to counsel people on home remedies. This project started out slowly, but it has increased dramatically due to the good results that people have experienced. I advise people on different herbs and the use of the electric heating pad or ice packs for pains.
I have found that using an ice pack for twenty minutes followed by twenty minutes with the electric heating pad on medium setting can make the pain of arthritis disappear. You see, the ice clears the swelling and the heat warms the muscle and makes it pliable.
I also teach several different range of motion exercises that help to keep the joints fluid after the session with the electric heating pad. I do not collect any fee for my advice and I only give out the recipes of the home remedies. The last thing I want to do is get into trouble for practicing without a license.
